Two
spots for The
Nation. The one on the left was for a piece by John LeCarre about
writing
his recent novel located in Africa. The one on the right was for an article about
the WSF (World Social Forum), the "people's alternative" to the World
Economic Forum.
This WSF was held in Nairobi. Among the issues on the table concerning
Africa were:
HIV/AIDS victims vs. the big pharmaceutical corporations, and the
exploitative flower
and fish exportation businesses.
